Mid-Atlantic Instructors to teach at Eastern Panhandle Weekend ***UPDATED***

We have been invited to teach a 40 hour extrication course at the Eastern Panhandle Training Weekend "RESCUE ADDITION".  The Course will be spread over two weekend April 9,10,11 16,17,18.  Friday classes will be evening classes(1800-2200) and both day (0800-1700)classes on Saturday and Sunday. 

The series will include the WV Fire Commissions Vehicle Extrication Awareness through Technician levels as well as cover the topics to cover NFPA 1670 criteria. The list below is some of the topics that will be covered

- Scene Size-Up at the extrication scene

-Basic and Advanced Stabilization

-"Safing" the vehicle for extrication

-Using Hand tools for extrication

-Rescue tool operations

-Basic door removals, 3rd door operations, as weell as complete side blow outs

-Roof removals on upright, side and roof resting vehicles

-"Tunneling" operations

-Dash lifts and pushes

-Under-ride and over-ride situations
